Hey there,

It’s been 6 months since I left you with the last tutorial. I hope you guys have been practising and are super-amazing DJs now. I expect you to be teaching me things.

This time I want to go through everything we’ve learnt so far about transitions and try out a few things. As always, experimentation is key. In the video, I will go through 6 ways of transitioning between the same 2 tracks. Each method needs to be used at particular parts of the track and for particular lengths of time. You just need to practise and play around to see what works and what doesn’t.

The transition techniques we’ll be going through are:

• Cutoff takeover
• The bass switchover
• Killing the live bass
• Killing the live track
• Live start
• Backspin
